However, you are assuming that what the Lord "will" do is unconditional---that is, that one does not have to do anything to receive the promises. You are assuming here what you're attempting to prove...which makes your argument somewhat circular.

Next, regarding those verses...what you have done is "prooftexted" and selected a few verses that seem to fit your view. I could point to not just 2 Peter 2 but also the book of Hebrews, Revelation, etc., to support my view. the verses you point out are to be considered...but the question is, "How do those verses fit with the warnings?" Please write back and explain how you interpret the warnings. If you need to see my work on the warnings, please see my section on "Doctrine of Perseverance/Eternal Security" to the right on the home page.Deidre Richardson, B.A., M.Div.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04415891901162852180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-172417803867627775.post-52741901920224356662011-01-14T01:04:07.464-08:002011-01-14T01:04:07.464-08:002Ti 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every...2Ti 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever.
